      Sunday, February 12, 2012 - The National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer (Jacksonville)
      Advanced Disposal is proud to sponsor the National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer or the fourth year in a row. We will be providing garbage collection and recycling services for the marathon and half marathon which take place in the Jacksonville area. Advanced Disposal's Beautiful Bag Ladies will also be out collecting water bottles and other recyclables to teach people about the importance of recycling. The wonderful ladies of Kappa Delta (University of North Florida) will be our Beautiful Bag Ladies, on hand to promote recycling and support their philanthropic cause - to beat breast cancer. Good Luck to all the runners, and we'll see you on race day!

      Saturday, March 24, 2012 - 2012 First Coast Heart Ball (Jacksonville)
      Advanced Disposal is proud to be a Sponsor of the 2012 First Coast Heart Ball. The Heart Ball, an elegant celebration of life, with proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association celebrates: our work, mission, donors, volunteers, and most importantly the lives saved and improved because of everyone’s effort. Last year, funds raised at Heart Ball events nationwide allowed us to fund over $123 million of research and programs across the country and in your community.

      Wednesday, March 14, 2012 – Forsyth County MRF Ribbon Cutting (Alpharetta) 
      Advanced Disposal will proudly unveil its newest Material Recycling Facility (MRF) in a special ribbon cutting ceremony. The new facility is located at 5680 Shirlee Industrial Way in Alpharetta, Georgia. The event will include lunch and facility tours and is invite only please. 

      Friday, March 30, 2012 – Doraville School Career Day (Doraville)
      Advanced Disposal’s General Manager Erica Bartlett will be speaking to students as part of Hightower Elementary School’s Career Day. The theme for this year’s career day is mathematics. Erica looks forward to teaching students about the importance of math in her day-to-day role as general manager, whether it’s figuring out how many trucks to service a route or how many containers we have to sell to meet budget.

      Thursday, April 19, 2012 – Landfill Gas-to-Energy Plant Ribbon Cutting at Wolf Creek Landfill (Dry Branch)
      In honor of Earth Day, Wolf Creek Landfill and Advanced Disposal will unveil the new landfill gas-to-energy facility located at 911 Landfill Road in Dry Branch, Georgia. The event will include lunch and facility tours and is invite only please. 

      Saturday, April 21, 2012 – Touch-A-Truck Event (Sugar Hill)
      The City of Sugar Hill Recreation Department is hosting its 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck Event. This event is from noon – 3 pm on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at E.E Robinson Park (850 Level Creek Rd, Sugar Hill, 30518). Advanced Disposal will be there again this year showing off some of our beautiful garbage trucks!
