Guidelines for Commercial Garbage Service

All Containers

Containers must not be blocked and trucks must have access to provide service.

Please make sure waste is contained, within safe capacity levels and not overflowing. Drivers may not be able to service overloaded containers.

Please do not place any hazardous materials in container. This includes: any waste solid or liquid waste material resulting from the manufacturing or use of pesticides, highly flammable or explosive wastes, caustic wastes, toxic wastes, and any other material that the Health Authority determines to be a likely hazard to the public health, safety or environment.

Containers must be placed and remain on a hard, level surface and must be secure.

The placement of enclosures and containers can have a direct effect on safety.  An improperly placed enclosure or container may lead to accident, injury, or property damage.  Check with your Advanced Disposal representative to ensure safe placement.

Additional Guidelines for Roll-off Containers

Containers may not be loaded above the top of the container and the weight must be evenly distributed.

Thirty (30) yard containers may not be used for concrete, dirt, stumps, bricks or any other heavy materials.

Twenty (20) yard containers must be used for very heavy loads and may be filled only half full.

Preferred maximum weight of 20,000 lbs. varies by state regulations.

HIGH STANDARDS. HAPPY CUSTOMERS.

  • I called to start service at our home. From the customer service rep on the phone, to the trash can being delivered at the house, to the wave from the garage workers, this is by far the best customer service we have come in contact with here in Illinois! It is great to know that things were done right the first time! Thank you.

  • Please pass along my thanks to our driver. Huge winds knocked my recycling container over this morning, spilling our papers and cardboard into the street. He took the time to pick up the mess and we really appreciate it. He does a great job and I hope someone lets him know how much he is appreciated.

  • My husband and I once forgot to bring the trash out with the craziness of the holidays. I woke up to them collecting my neighbors. I rushed outside, but he had already driven past. However, on his way back around to collect the other side of the street's trash, he saw me and turned around and got our trash! I'm so thankful as it was overflowing from Christmas! Thank you so so much! :)

  • Today, our driver got out of the truck to pick up some recyclable material that had fallen out of the container. It was below zero and this worker did an amazing job at showing how he cared for the environment, our neighborhood and his customers. Thank you for hiring such excellent people to do this job!

  • Many kudos to the guys on our route. I see many overflowing bins or non-broken down boxes and they still get everything, rain or shine. I appreciate them!
