Advanced Disposal’s Beautiful Bag Ladies will take part in Saturday’s Dancin’ in the Streets event by collecting event attendees’ recyclables and teaching them about the importance of recycling to keep our community beautiful.

“As part of our on-going program of community involvement and commitment to the environment, Advanced Disposal promotes recycling through our Bag Ladies program,” said Mary O’Brien, chief marketing officer for Advanced Disposal. “We encourage people to look out for the ladies in blue when they have a plastic bottle or aluminum can to discard.”

The Bag Ladies will be in Town Center at the end of Atlantic Boulevard during the Dancin’ in the Streets event from 5 to 9 p.m. The plastic bottles they collect can be turned into thousands of yards of carpet and even fleece jackets and sleeping bags. Aluminum cans are recycled into lawn chairs, construction products, and cars.

Event attendees can enjoy music on the Ocean Stage featuring nine different bands throughout the day and evening, the Kids Zone with inflatable rides, putt putt golf and a ferris wheel, an art show featuring local and regional artists, and delicious food selections from local restaurants including Ragtime, Sticky Fingers, Sundog Diner, Joseph's Pizza, Messa Luna, Gator Dawg and many more.
