Advanced Disposal Services, Inc. unveiled its newly remodeled Cobb County Transfer Station, located at 1897 County Services Parkway, with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony held yesterday. Company and county officials commemorated the renovation and thanked community leaders, customers and partners, who were patient with the remodeling efforts while the facility remained open.
“We are grateful for the community’s understanding while we worked to make the Cobb County Transfer Station a cleaner, safer option for everyone’s disposal needs,” said Charlie Gray, Advanced Disposal regional vice president. “We are proud of our brand new facility, which became a reality largely due to Advanced Disposal’s strong partnership with Cobb County. The transfer station is larger and designed with the customer in mind to reduce traffic lines and have more efficient operations.”
Cobb County Transfer Station is available for county residents, other third-party haulers in Cobb County and neighboring counties, as well as municipal governments in the surrounding areas, to dispose of their waste. In addition, a recycling facility is located next door to the transfer station for residents and businesses to dispose of recyclable materials.
Cobb County Clean and Beautiful is in the process of introducing a recycling program by placing single-stream recycling only dumpsters at local fire and police stations. The recycling will be taken to the Cobb County recycling facility, located next to the newly renovated transfer station.
