Advanced Disposal Donates $40,000 in Office Furniture to Clay County Chamber of Commerce
PONTE VEDRA, Fla.
Advanced Disposal, an integrated environmental services company, donated $40,000 worth of high quality, office furniture to Clay County Chamber of Commerce to update and furnish its offices.
Advanced Disposal recently announced the decision to keep its corporate headquarters in Northeast Florida. The company moved in to a larger office space, located in Ponte Vedra, Fla., last month. The building was already furnished, and thus some of the furniture from the previous headquarters was no longer being used. The donated corporate office furnishings include conference tables, chairs, credenzas, file cabinets, desks and cubical workspaces.
“We learned of a need that our friends at the Clay County Chamber of Commerce had for office furniture,” said Charlie Appleby, chairman and chief executive officer of Advanced Disposal. “Since we decided to keep our headquarters in Northeast Florida, the furniture was easily transported to them, and we’re happy it will be put to good use – assisting other businesses and helping the Northeast Florida region continue to grow. And we certainly appreciate any opportunity we have to recycle.”
Advanced Disposal moved its corporate headquarters to 90 Fort Wade Rd. and is expected to bring 85 new jobs and a capital investment of approximately $4 million.
“We greatly appreciate Advanced Disposal’s donation to our office and their overall commitment to the Northeast Florida communities,” said Doug Conkey, president, Clay County Chamber of Commerce. “This is a great example of our member and regional partnerships in action. This donation allowed us to upgrade our boardrooms and offices by replacing older mismatched furniture, while also providing an opportunity to assist member businesses address some furniture needs. The boardroom upgrade is significant, as many member organizations use it for meetings. The ability to also fill critical furniture needs of our small business members is very timely in challenging times. The Chamber of Commerce and its members are very appreciative of Advanced Disposal’s commitment to the business community and community as whole.”
