25th Annual Palatka Festival with Events Friday through Monday in Honor of Our Military
PALATKA, Fla.
Advanced Disposal, an integrated environmental services company, will be keeping this weekend’s 25th Annual Blue Crab Festival clean and green by providing trash collection receptacles and services as the silver level sponsor.
With events all weekend long, it is important that Palatka shine for residents and visitors who kick off summer at the annual festival in honor of Memorial Day. Advanced Disposal event boxes will be set up throughout the festival for festival attendees to easily dispose of their garbage and do their part to keep the community litter free.
“Advanced Disposal is thankful for the opportunity to provide services for a cleaner, greener community at this annual Palatka/Putnam County area festival,” said Dave Shepler, region manager for Advanced Disposal. “We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend, and as always, we thank those who have served our great country.”
Held each year on Memorial Day weekend, this year’s Blue Crab Festival will feature carnival rides, live music, arts and crafts, commercial display vendors, and more all along the riverfront in downtown Palatka. A seafood cook-off will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday, and a Memorial Day Parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday along Saint Johns Avenue in downtown Palatka.
