Advanced Disposal Promotes Dan Elplers to Area Sales Manager and Municipal Marketing Manager
Advanced Disposal, an integrated environmental services company, is pleased to announce the promotion of Dan Elpers to area sales and municipal marketing manager for the greater Evansville, Ind. and Lexington, Ky. marketplaces. In his new position, Elpers will lead a team of five sales staff responsible for retaining current commercial customers and bringing environmental services to new businesses in the Southern Indiana and Central Kentucky marketplace. In regards to municipal marketing, he will be the lead in identifying and working with the local general managers to ensure continued growth in the company’s governmental business sector through request for proposals and privatization efforts.
“Dan has a firm foundation in operations which will serve him well in his new role promoting and selling Advanced Disposal’s environmental services to commercial and governmental customers alike,” said Advanced Disposal Regional Vice President Dave Lavender. “He knows what it takes to motivate and manage staff resulting in optimum performance as well as the operational aspects of keeping our communities clean and green. The benefit of this background is the keen ability to listen to and best understand the needs of our customers – including potential customers – and translate that understanding into quality, competitive collection and disposal services for the customers.
Elpers has more than 27 years in the waste industry and most recently served as a general manager for Veolia Environmental Services Solid Waste. He joined Advanced Disposal with the acquisition of Veolia Environmental Services Solid Waste in November.
