Advanced Disposal’s Emerald Park Landfill has achieved Corporate Lands for Learning recertification for the next three years. Emerald Park received its initial certification in 2012 and completed the first recertification process earlier this year. Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) today announced the recertification for the facility’s ongoing commitment to innovative teaching and learning techniques as well as conservation efforts.

Emerald Park Landfill, located at W124 S10629 124 St. in Muskego, Wis. has an outdoor classroom where students and adults alike learn about how the landfill is constructed and maintained to preserve and protect the surrounding ecosystem.

“We are truly honored to receive recertification of Emerald Park as a Corporate Lands for Learning site,” said Jay Rooney, Advanced Disposal’s regional vice president. “We value any opportunity we can involve our community in our conservation efforts and welcome anyone who would like to learn more about our facility and the vital service it provides our surrounding area.”
