Advanced Disposal Invites Citizens and Businesses to Properly Retire Their American Flags With Honor
Free Program Runs June 1 through September 11 at All Locations
PONTE VEDRA, Fla.
May 22, 2015

Advanced Disposal, an integrated environmental services company, today announced a free service for citizens and businesses to properly dispose of their old, worn, torn and faded American flags. Beginning June 1 through Sept. 11, all Advanced Disposal locations will collect old American flags and properly retire them in accordance with the United States Flag Code or recycle them in a dignified manner by companies specializing in flag recycling.

“People will be flying their American flags with honor this upcoming Memorial Day weekend,” said Advanced Disposal CEO Richard Burke. “Some of those stars and stripes may have seen brighter days, and as an American company, we believe in the time-honored tradition of properly retiring American flags. It is an honor for us to offer this service to our customers and neighbors.”
