Advanced Disposal, an integrated environmental services company, is beginning residential trash and recycling collection services in the City of Howell on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016. Residential trash and recycling collection services including one bulk item pick-up will occur every Monday on the East Side and every Tuesday on the West Side of the city.

Benefits of Advanced Disposal services include;
- Advanced Disposal has provided each resident with a new 96-gallon wheeled curb cart.
- Each residential address is allowed one bulky item disposal per week, at no additional charge. (No special tags or stickers are required for pick up.)
- Green bags are no longer necessary and will not be collected outside of the cart.
- Current residents that are participating in the recycling program have received a new 64-gallon wheeled cart.
- If residents would like to sign up for recycling services and receive a free cart, please call (888) 443-1717.
- Yard waste pickup will be provided April through November. For yard waste, residents are welcome to use their own unmarked 32-gallon containers or yard waste bags.

“We are excited to begin a new relationship with the City of Howell and most importantly, providing unparalleled solid waste management services to their residents,” stated Dave Lavender, Advanced Disposal’s region vice president. “In addition, delivering these services to Howell strengthens our existing Michigan operations footprint, and we look forward to providing residential customers with continued environmentally sound, customer care-focused service.”
