Saturday, October 8, 2011 – Tallassee Team Up To Clean Up (Tallassee)
Advanced Disposal and Stone’s Throw Landfill are proud sponsors of the Fall Team Up to Clean Up event, put on by the Tallassee Beautification Committee Meeting. Let’s join together to get our city ready for Fall and the upcoming holiday season. The citywide cleanup is from 8 a.m.- noon, and volunteer groups picking up litter will receive a specially-designed Advanced Disposal T-shirt.  All the trash collected will be brought to a roll-off container stationed at Tallassee City Hall.  The roll-off container will be hauled and disposed of free of charge by Advanced Disposal.  All community members will be invited to join us at City Hall on the lawn at sundown to enjoy the movie RIO shown on a 30 foot-wide big screen as well as popcorn and refreshments.

Saturday, October 22, 2011 – Camp Consequence Camp Reward (Jacksonville)

Advanced Disposal and Old Kings Road Landfill have been longtime supporters of Camp Consequence through donations of roll-off containers when they were building the Camp and free disposal at our landfill. We’re honored to be a part of the newest project – Camp Reward. Come out to Max's Farm at 15251 Yellowbluff Road in Jacksonville, FL and see what will be the site of Camp Reward. Camp Reward is an opportunity to prove that making good choices pays off.  It's a day of FREE fun, food and friends at the farm along with the elite squads of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office showing off all their crime fighting tools. Your kids and grandkids will get to meet these elite officers and get up close and personal with their vehicles, equipment and even animal officers! Our guest speakers will be Sheriff John Rutherford, State Attorney Angela Corey and Public Defender Matt Shirk, three strong advocates of the amazing changes that are happening in homes, schools and communities as a result of Empowered Parents/Camp Consequence.

Advanced Disposal will provide event boxes, waste collection services as well as have a working Advanced Disposal garbage truck on display to show how it works.  Advanced Disposal’s commitment to fighting crime is exemplified in our partnership with the Sheriff’s Office to look for and report suspicious activity in the neighborhoods and commercial properties we service while doing our job everyday. More info about Camp Consequence here.

Advanced Disposal is proud to support the 28th Annual Caring Chefs event to benefit Children's Home Society of Florida by providing event boxes. "The food tasting event of the year" draws more than 2,000 attendees, which means quite a lot of garbage but all for a wonderful cause.
