Curbside garbage service

• Pickup once per week.
• Place all household garbage and rubbish in the cart or in a heavy-duty plastic trash bag secured properly to prevent scattering of waste due to animals or wind.
• No cart or bag may exceed 50 pounds.
• DO NOT include tires, car batteries, liquid paints and solvents, motor oils and greases, construction and demolition debris (such as concrete and building materials), or non-containerized garbage and rubbish. These items and any other hazardous materials will not be collected.
• No-pickup holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas. If collection day falls on a holiday, service will take place one day later for that day and for the remainder of the week following the holiday.

Curbside yard waste service

• Pickup once per month.
• Yard waste will be collected the third Saturday of each month.
• Leaves and grass clippings must be bagged, and limbs must be less than 2" in diameter and less than 4' in length.
• Place yard waste curbside by 6:00 a.m. of the scheduled collection day.
• No-pickup holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas. If collection day falls on a holiday, service will take place one day later for that day and for the remainder of the week following the holiday.

Curbside bulk items collection

• Place appliances curbside by 6:00 a.m. of the scheduled collection day.
• Any appliances that contain Freon must have the compressor removed or be tagged to certify that all Freon has been properly removed.
• No-pickup holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas. If collection day falls on a holiday, service will take place one day later for that day and for the remainder of the week following the holiday.

Curbside white goods collection

• White goods will be collected quarterly on the fourth Saturday of the last month of the quarter.
• Waste must be placed curbside by 6:00 a.m. of the collection day.
• If you and any other members of your household are unable to roll your cart to the curb because of age or disability, please call City Hall at 478-986-5433 to apply for Elderly/Disabled service.
• No-pickup holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas. If collection day falls on a holiday, service will take place one day later for that day and for the remainder of the week following the holiday.
