Curbside garbage service

  • Pickup once per week.
  • Place your cart curbside by 7:00 a.m. of your scheduled garbage collection day.
  • Place all household garbage within the gray cart provided.
  • If your total garbage exceeds the volume of your rollout cart, please place additional containers and/or tied bags, not exceeding 40 lbs. each, alongside the gray cart on your scheduled collection day.
  • No-pickup holidays: New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas. All routes are run one day behind regular scheduled service. Call customer service at 251-443-8555 for more information.

Curbside yard waste service

  • Pickup once per week.
  • Place your bags curbside by 7:00 a.m. of your scheduled garbage collection day.
  • Bagged grass clippings, small limbs and small piles of brush will be collected along with garbage on the same collection day.
  • Bags of leaves and brush should be deposited in the gray cart along with garbage as space permits.
  • Additional bags and small piles of brush capable of being collected by hand should be placed alongside the gray cart.
  • No-pickup holidays: New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas. All routes are run one day behind regular scheduled service. Call customer service at 251-443-8555 for more information.

Curbside bulk items collection

  • Tree limbs, old furniture, refrigerators, air-conditioning units, mattresses, bedsprings, large debris, cardboard boxes, etc., will be collected weekdays on an “as needed” basis.
  • No item may weigh over 700 pounds and no item or tree limb may be over 8' long.
  • Freon must be removed from refrigerators and cooling units, and they must be tagged appropriately by a certified technician.
  • Contractors and tree surgeons are responsible for removing construction and demolition debris, limbs and other waste they generate by their work.
  • We are unable to collect hazardous waste, including material possibly containing friable and/or non-friable asbestos.
  • A maximum average of three cubic yards of bulky waste can be collected weekly at a single residential unit.

 Curbside recycling service

  • Pickup once per week per individual resident’s request.
  • Place all recycling material, including newsprint, steel cans, aluminum cans, #1 and #2 plastic bottles, and cardboard food containers within the green 18-gallon recycling bins on the scheduled day of collection.
  • Those wishing to subscribe for recycling service will be provided additional brochures and literature pertaining to the program.
