St. Johns County Curbside garbage service - Pickup once per week.
- Place your garage cans curbside by 6:00 a.m. of your scheduled garbage collection day.
- Defined as all kitchen and food waste, and all animal or vegetable waste that is attendant with or results from the storage, preparation, cooking or handling of food materials.
- No pickup holidays: Thanksgiving and Christmas. If a holiday coincides with your regularly scheduled collection day, Advanced Disposal will provide advance written notice to each customer concerning any alternate collection days via the local newspaper.
- No collection is made on New Year's day. Normal pickups will take place on the following normal pickup day.
Curbside yard waste service - Pickup once per week.
- Defined as vegetative matter resulting from landscaping and yard maintenance and beautification projects, such as leaves, grass cuttings, palm fronds, shrubbery and tree trimmings.
- No collection is made on New Year's day. Normal pickups will take place on the following normal pickup day.
Curbside bulk items collection - Residents should call Advanced Disposal at 904-827-1005 to arrange a pickup of large bulk items and white goods.
- Bulky items are large items of residential waste that will not fit in the garbage receptacle and include, but are not limited to: toilets, sinks, bicycles, mattresses, carpet, fencing, large household furnishings, car and boat seats, and steering wheels and other interior car and boat components,
- Bulky items DO NOT include engines, tires, boats or vehicle bodies.
- White goods are discarded refrigerators, ranges, water heaters, freezers and other similar large, domestic and commercial appliances.
- No collection is made on New Year's day. Normal pickups will take place on the following normal pickup day.
Curbside recycling service - Pickup once per week.
- EXPANDED LIST of acceptable recyclable items include newspaper, metal and aluminum containers, corrugated cardboard, plastic containers labeled #1-#7, glass bottles and jars (green, brown and clear), pill bottles, water bottles, metal and aluminum cans, magazines, catalogs, telephone books, brown paper bags, office paper, copy paper, shredded paper in paper bag, file folders, file or packing boxes, junk mail, cereal boxes and brown or gray fiber packages (soda cartons, dry food packages, etc.)
