Rhinelander, WI Customers: Due to winter weather, service is running one day behind for the week of April 16. We will make every attempt to service our customers as quickly as possible; however, safety is our number one priority. Please be sure to heavily salt and sand your driveways and/or parking lots. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

2018 Road Limits in Northern Wisconsin are now going into effect for the following counties and townships:

Town of Tomahawk- March 13, 2018

Town of Nokomis- April 6, 2018

Oneida County:
Town of Cassian- March 14, 2018

You're A Municipal Customer If...
your local government selected your solid waste provider for you. Please select your city/town and county to view your garbage guidelines and holiday schedule.
 
You're A Subscription Customer If...
you choose your service provider. Please find our garbage guidelines and holiday schedule below.
 
Guidelines for Curbside Garbage Service
Curbside Garbage Service 
  • Pickup as subscribed. 
  • Garbage must be placed curbside the night before collection day, or prior to 5 a.m. on the scheduled day of collection. 
  • Place all garbage in provided cart. Place cart at least 3 feet away from any other object such as mailbox, car, other cart, etc.
  • Ensure that container area is free of ice and snow in the winter. 
  • Items NOT accepted for pickup include: hazardous waste, bulky items, yard waste, and electronics.
Curbside Recycling Service
  • Pickup as subscribed. 
  • Recyclables must be placed curbside the night before, or prior to 5 a.m. on the scheduled day of collection.
  • Items accepted for pickup include: Bi-metal and aluminum cans, plastics #1- #5, corrugated cardboard, newsprint and magazines, clear, green and brown container glass. 
Bulk Waste and electronics can be dropped off at Minocqua and Lac Du Flambeau Transfer Stations for a fee.  
 
Holiday Schedule

There will be no pickup on the following holidays:
New Year’s Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day

Routes will be pushed back by one day following a holiday 
For example, if Christmas Day is Tuesday and your normal service day is Wednesday, you will be serviced on Thursday. Customers who are normally serviced on Friday of that week will be serviced on Saturday. 

 
You're A Commercial Customer If...

Guidelines for Commercial Garbage Service

All Containers

Containers must not be blocked and trucks must have access to provide service. 

Please make sure waste is contained, within safe capacity levels and not overflowing. Drivers may not be able to service overloaded containers. 

Please do not place any hazardous materials in container. This includes: any waste solid or liquid waste material resulting from the manufacturing or use of pesticides, highly flammable or explosive wastes, caustic wastes, toxic wastes, and any other material that the Health Authority determines to be a likely hazard to the public health, safety or environment. 

Containers must be placed and remain on a hard, level surface and must be secure. 

The placement of enclosures and containers can have a direct effect on safety.  An improperly placed enclosure or container may lead to accident, injury, or property damage.  Check with your Advanced Disposal representative to ensure safe placement.

Additional Guidelines for Roll-off Containers

Containers may not be loaded above the top of the container and the weight must be evenly distributed. 

Thirty (30) yard containers may not be used for concrete, dirt, stumps, bricks or any other heavy materials. 

Twenty (20) yard containers must be used for very heavy loads and may be filled only half full.  

Preferred maximum weight of 20,000 lbs. varies by state regulations.
