Advanced Disposal Opens $5 Million Recycling Facility Bringing 44 Jobs to Forsyth County
State-of-the-Art Facility Now Accepting Recyclables from Cities, Counties and Third-party Haulers
Advanced Disposal Services, Inc. held a luncheon today to mark the opening of Forsyth County’s newest recycling facility, located at 5680 Shirlee Industrial Way. The company’s $5 million facility will provide a much needed service to Forsyth County and the surrounding greater Atlanta area.
“We are extremely proud of our newest recycling facility and the commitment we’ve made to provide the citizens and businesses of Forsyth County with a cleaner, more efficient recycling solution,” said Charlie Gray, Advanced Disposal Regional Vice President. “This single-stream facility will process between seven and 12 tons of material per hour, which makes it one of the largest facilities in the region.”
This is Advanced Disposal’s tenth material recycling facility and brings 44 direct jobs to the county. The facility is currently processing about 100 tons of recyclables per day mainly collected from Advanced Disposal’s current contracts with local cities and counties along with subscription routes.
Advanced Disposal employees, government leaders, vendors and community members marked the official opening of the Forsyth County Recycling Facility today with a luncheon followed by facility tours.
Forsyth County Recycling Facility is available for other third-party haulers in Forsyth County and neighboring counties, as well as municipal governments in the surrounding areas, to dispose of their recyclables for processing.
