Document Shredding And Electronics Recycling Event For Atlantic Beach Residents And Businesses
ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla.
Advanced Disposal Services, Inc., an integrated environmental services company, in cooperation with the City of Atlantic Beach, invite all businesses and residents to celebrate America Recycles Day by showing their commitment to a cleaner and greener environment at a document shredding and electronics recycling event on Saturday, November 17, 2012.
From 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Beaches Aquatic Center, located at 297 Aquatic Drive, Atlantic Beach, Florida 32233, businesses and residents can bring up to three boxes of confidential documents for immediate on-site shredding, as well as unwanted electronic devices for recycling. In support of Atlantic Beach’s effort to keep the City and surrounding areas cleaner and greener, Advanced Disposal is providing this event to give residents and businesses an easy way to reduce the risk of identity theft and misuse of sensitive information, and to reuse important natural resources stored in old and unused electronics.
Acceptable items for shredding and recycling include personal documents, business documents, white paper, colored paper, stapled documents, paper-clipped documents, file folders, and envelopes. Items not accepted for shredding and recycling include 3-ring binders and cardboard.
Acceptable items for electronics recycling include computer monitors, desktop computers, laptop computers, keyboards, mice, peripherals, toner/ink cartridges, printers/copy machines, scanners, fax machines, tape/CD players, telephones, cell phones, stereos/radios, gaming consoles, power/network cables, network hubs, switching boxes, controllers, modems, docking stations, CD Roms, hard drives, household batteries, rechargeable batteries, printed circuit boards, servers, terminals, mainframes, military equipment, medical equipment, telecommunications, commercial equipment, office equipment, banking equipment, test equipment, microwaves, small household appliances, and televisions.
Items not accepted for electronics recycling include smoke detectors and large white goods such as refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, washers, and dryers.
